Ryan Schwalbach,  CEO

Ryan is responsible for the overall guidance, stable growth through profitable partnerships, and the vision of Now Courier, present and in the future. He spends majority of his time working on the strategic direction of the Company to ensure we remain a leader in the courier and logistics industries and poised for continual growth and improvement. While Ryan is involved in almost every aspect of the business at this point, he literally started off on the ground floor with the Company. Some of his first jobs, while still in high school, included sweeping out box trucks and vans, making deliveries, running routes in the summers throughout college, assembling the racking for the warehouse and anything else that needed to be done. Growing up around the Company, Ryan learned the true meaning of hard work, dedication and achieving goals. As he continues to gain knowledge and experience of the industry, he is focused on building a team and model that can take the Company to the next level. His love for what his parents have built will always be what drives him going forward. His own personal desire to make Now the best in the industry is what will take Now Courier into the future and beyond. Ryan graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH with his Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management. Prior to starting his “official career” with Now Courier as a Supervisor in the Routing Department, Ryan worked as a Management Trainee for Cintas First Aid and Safety, Cincinnati, OH.

Ryan “Jake” Jacobs, CFO

As Chief Financial Officer of Now Courier,   Jake is responsible for governing all financial and administrative aspects of the Company.  Working with an experienced management team, his responsibilities also include overseeing local operations and the IT Department.  Jake has held various positions throughout the Company which include Routing, Operations, System Analysis/implementation and Special Projects.  He plays an important role in setting the Company’s strategic direction as well as identifying and implementing efficiencies throughout the organization. Prior to joining Now Courier’s executive Management Team, he was a Sr. Financial Analyst for MD Sleep.  Jake earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Business from Butler University, and his Master of Business Administration in Finance, from the University of Indianapolis.

Dallas Harris, Director of Operations

As the Director of Operations, Dallas Harris is responsible for overseeing the operations function in conjunction with business growth, the introduction of new operational systems, meeting organizational financial objectives, and meeting organizational goals about the safety, quality, and timely delivery of services.

Harris plays an important role in the Company’s overall performance including being an experienced voice in organizational strategy and effectiveness.

As a 29-year veteran of NOW Courier, Harris has held several roles in corporate and branch operations and sales.

Harris studied business administration at the University of Indianapolis.

Nick Van Horn, Director of Talent Management

As the Director of Talent Management, Nick Van Horn is responsible for strategic workforce planning including fostering a culture of participation, inclusion, and collaboration to drive exponential business value.

He is evolving NOW’s approach to HR strategy with innovative programs fixed throughout the employee lifecycle to make NOW Courier a Top Workplace.

Before joining NOW Courier, Van Horn worked in corporate HR at both Stonegate Mortgage and Zanett Commercial Solutions. Earlier, he was employed as an HR/management consultant at two of Indiana’s leading HR consulting firms – HR Dimensions and Waggoner, Irwin, Scheele & Associates.

Van Horn holds a B.S. in Human Resources from Ball State University and an MBA in Finance from Anderson University.

Bob Welch, Director of Compliance & Safety

As the Director of Compliance & Safety, Robert Welch is responsible for the creation of safety and compliance programs, policies, procedures, and practices about DOT, OSHA, and TSA.

In his role, Welch also conducts safety and risk assessments throughout NOW’s geographic footprint which includes seven offices in three states. Previously at NOW Courier, he held a number of operational positions most recently as Operations Manager.

Earlier, he worked in supply chain management and operations at Borg Warner, Disney, and Reebok – contributing to his more than 30 years of industry experience.

Welch earned his B.A. in Physical Distribution from Ball State University.
